With the Black Mountain Lodge ideally situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountain National Park, you will be spoiled for choice for things to see and do in the area.
There are many beautiful towns and villages to visit in the area, all with their own very unique quirks and charms and it’s guarenteed there is something that will suit everyone. Some places to visit are:
Hay-on-Wye – on our doorstep we have the famous ‘Town of Books’ Hay-on-Wye, a quaint little gem riddled with book stores and antique shops. Ideal for bookworms and treasure hunters.
Brecon – Just a short drive from the Guest House, this town offers an abundance of cafes, shops, museums and art galleries, as well as being the access point to the Brecon Beacons Mounain Ranges.
Builth Wells – Located approximately a 25 minute drive away, Builth Wells is a picturesque market town that overlooks the river Wye. This pretty little town offers an excellent base to explore the counryside and delve into the ancient History that is conected with it.
There is also a huge range of activities to do in the area such as Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Horse Riding, Caving and many more. Perfect for families and those looking for that ultimate adventure holiday!
