Things To See & Do

We are situated in a quiet part of the Countryside but there is still plenty to see and do in the local & surrounding area; from outdoor adventure activities to exploring the rich history and breath-taking views of the area or even indulging in a bit of relaxation and retail therapy. There are many beautiful towns and villages to visit in the area, all with their own very unique quirks and charms and it’s guaranteed there is something that will suit everyone. Here are some suggestions:

Outdoor Adventure & Activities – take part in some fun filled adventure with our Sister company, Black Mountain Activities. They offer canoeing, climbing, cycling, clay pigeon shooting, gorge walking and much more!

Discovering History – Being very close to the English Border, the area is quite rich in history.
We are just a few miles from the Anglo Saxon Offa’s Dyke which is a linear earthwork that roughly follows the current border.

The quaint Town of Talgarth is well worth a visit to see the working water mill and nearby Bronllys castle.

Hill Walking – Surrounded by the beautiful Brecon Beacons National park there are plenty of walking routes in the area to suit all ages and experiences. Here a a couple suggested websites:

Stunning Scenery – Explore the wonderful scenery of the Welsh Valleys and landscapes with an abundance of natural and man-made features. With a wide variety of places to experience for all ages and interests. The Brecon Beacons has also been recognised as a national dark skies area allowing for astronomy and star gazing experiences.
